J’s Famous Kush is the signature strain of the Washington-based producer, Farmer J’s. It’s a Sativa-dominant hybrid with pleasantly balanced effects. And, with a THC level ranging from 13% and 21%, the bud is potentially highly potent. Tha makes it a good choice for beginners, casual users, and those that have low tolerances while still being suitable for veterans.
Information about J’s Famous Kush:
While its exact lineage is unknown, it is presumed to be a cross between three premium herbs from Northern California. But, because its full terpene profile is mixed with hints of skunk, many people theorize one of it to be Skunk #1.

Effects
Warm and buzzing are two of the best words to describe the effects of J’s Famous Kush. Though intense, the mental upliftment is not overwhelming. Instead, it begins mildly and builds up gradually with each toke.

A great party strain, the uplifting effects soon turn users into social butterflies. Encouraged by their newly-found confidence, many find themselves talking and chatting a lot more than usual. Socializing can be a bit taxing though. For this reason, it is best to prepare snacks ahead of time.
J’s Famous Kush Effects
Beginning from the temples, a tingling sensation develops. It courses through the muscles in waves and eases away tightness caused by tension. As it envelops the body in a warm, fuzzy feeling, its sedating but totally relaxing buzz begins to take effect. Eventually, the drowsiness leads to a full-blown slumber.
J’s Famous Kush is best toked in the evening after a night out or hours before bedtime.
Fragrance
Even from its amber container, J’s Famous Kush emits a sweet but pungent skunk that easily fills the room. Accompanying it is the familiar scent of damp earth. Broken apart or combusted, it releases a spicy scent begotten by its pepper undertones.

Flavors
Washing over the mouth at the first draw are the spicy pepper overtones of J’s Famous Kush. Blending with it is the taste of freshly picked herbs with hints of sour skunk and grape. The tobacco aftertaste is a little harsh though, especially as the thick smoke lingers in the throat and the palate.
Adverse Reaction
Besides its recreational value, Farmer J’s best-selling strain is also famous for its mild adverse effects. The chances are high that users will end up with red eyes and a dry mouth as cannabinoids begin to interfere with the production of saliva. In any case, both are barely noticeable and easily mitigated by drinking a glass of water. This makes it perfect for those who love marijuana but not the reactions it brings about.
J’s Famous Kush Adverse Reaction
Medical
Ask any enthusiast why their urge to use marijuana exists and, most likely, at least a third will of them cite stress relief as the main reason. And, to that end, J’s Famous Kush does disappoint. However, its uplifting effects do more than enhance the mood.
More significantly, J’s Famous Kush retains immense therapeutic value as an anti-depressant and anxiolytic. To a great degree, its clearheaded high replaces unwanted negativity with a more positive outlook in life. Similarly, it prevents users with anxiety from spiraling down into an abyss of self-destructive thoughts. Interestingly, the same psychoactive compounds have stimulating effects on the appetite as well.
J’s Famous Kush Medical
J’s Famous Kush also has potent analgesic properties. THC, being a natural painkiller, has the ability to remove physical discomfort caused by cramps and sudden muscle contractions. Although the hybrid has antispasmodic qualities, it should not be used as self-medication against disorders revolving around spasticity, epilepsy, and seizures. In such cases, it is best to stick to a medical professional’s advice.

Growing
Breeders at Farmer J’s prefer growing strains inside greenhouses. After all, they do run an indoor operation in Spokane, Washington. As such, it is not surprising to see J’s Famous Kush thrive in such environments especially with its Sativa-leaning structure. Although, one will have to manage its height from time to time as it might outgrow the space provided.
Cultivating J’s Famous Kush outdoors is a little finicky. Its stalks, being thin and weak, are susceptible to various diseases caused by climate and even the quality of soil. To this end, aspiring garden growers will have to exert a little extra care.
Once mature, its buds take on qualities of both its Sativa and Indica genes. It is tapered on one end, dense, and heavily coated in frosted trichomes. Brief flashes of yellow as well as its amber hairs make it appear golden.
Flowering Time
Indoors
Indoors, J’s Famous Kush flowers anywhere between 10 to 12 weeks with each square meter producing more than 12 ounces of resinous buds.
Outdoors
Garden growers of J’s Famous Kush should see flowers sprouting by the second or third week of October. Exposed to harsh weather, it may take a week more. Once ready for harvest, each plant will reward patience with at least 16 ounces of silvery nugs.
