Several decades ago, it seems that a lot of marijuana users were very much into Bob Marley. In fact, there are strains named after one or more of his songs. Hence, it follows that there are people who think Exodus Cheese got its name from one of Marley’s songs.
Information about Exodus Cheese:
Regardless, Exodus Cheese is a classic strain, legendary even, in that countless other strains were bred using it. Of course, there is a good reason for that. It is a balanced hybrid that combines the best of both the mental and physical high. As a result of using this strain, users feel happier and euphoric. In other words, this is one of the best feel-good strain.
Although it is within the realm of possibilities that the strain was named after a Bob Marley song, there is another more plausible explanation.
Sometime in the late 80s to the 90s, a group of free-spirited marijuana users called themselves the Exodus. No one knows exactly who the original breeder was, but it seems the group took a clone of Exodus Cheese and cultivated it. From then on, the strain became a household name.
Exodus Cheese is also sometimes called as UK Cheese or simply Cheese.

Effects
As a balanced hybrid, Exodus Cheese offers the best of both the cerebral and physical high without one side overwhelming the other. At its onset, the strain delivers a gentle cerebral high that in moments, make users feel uplifted. The change in mood is remarkable in that pretty soon, it is not uncommon users to be giggly. Feeling happier, the cerebral effects continue to intensify causing users now to feel euphoric.
At around this time, the physical body high starts to creep in too. It does so in a gentle manner and this is evident as users start to feel relaxed. But this creeper is not to be underestimated as for many people, they do not realize how stoned they are at the height of its effect. The Indica side also may come with a little sedative-like property which also causes one to feel too relaxed, or lazy, whichever one prefers.
Exodus Cheese Effects
The strong physical high, in some ways, also helps control the cerebral effects in that users do not get overwhelmed. Of course, it also means that there is a tendency to be locked on a couch.
Fragrance
One way to describe the fragrance of Exodus Cheese is comparing it to cheddar cheese. It would not have been bad if it were not for the dominating sour and pungent odor of dark earth. This strain offers a lot of benefits, but the smell is not one of its strengths.
Flavors
Some of the skunky odor carries over to its taste. Even with the blend of sweet nutty flavors, as well as a note of creamy cheese, the fact remains that its taste also not its strong suit. While it may not have great taste, it should not stop people from using it.

All these negative reactions are not serious but they are still annoyances. The best way to avoid adverse reactions is to use only a small amount.
Medical
Any strain that can uplift the mood and make users feel happier or elated, then it can be useful in reducing stress. As such, it also becomes helpful in managing depression. Besides dealing with stress, the other popular use of Exodus Cheese among the medical cannabis users is in pain alleviation.
