When people imagine eating pot edibles, they nearly always think about weed brownies (also called weed brownies), as they are the most common of the pot edibles out there.
This may be because of taste, but it also could have something to do with the fact that they are extremely easy to bake for yourself at home.
Recipe for making pot brownies at home:
In this article, we will go over a few possible options and methods for how you can successfully make your own batch of pot brownies.
Cannabis brownies basics:
There are a few basic things you need to remember, regardless of which type of pot brownies you decide to make.
First of all, be sure to always make sure your measurements are as exact and precise and possible.
You should be sure to take notes before you have done the baking, and after the batch is over, to learn from your mistakes and make any tweaks or changes in the recipe.
Finally, as difficult as it may sound, you should be sure not to smoke right before the first few times you bake your pot brownies.
This way, you will remember the details better, and you can notice any specifics that will come in handy later.

For those who are interested in baking not just once, but more often than that, buy a small scale to measure the exact amount of weed that is going into your pot brownies.
Then you can evaluate the effect it has on you, and can make some minute changes accordingly.
Remember, baking is a more exact science than cooking is, so once again: be sure to measure accurately every time.
Butter versus oil
The first thing you need is to find a brownie recipe that includes the substance of your choice: either oil or butter.
Keep in mind that recipes that involve cannabutter, require more marijuana, and also require more time to prepare the mixture.
Oil, on the other hand, is a faster version that requires less marijuana.
The majority of brownie recipes also call for oil rather than butter, but still plenty of marijuana bakers prefer to use pot butter. Choose accordingly.
Picking a recipe for pot brownies
Once you get into the recipes, it may seem difficult to decide which recipe to go for. In a place like the United States, good brownie recipes are a dime a dozen.
The goal of combining your weed with a recipe for a pot brownie is to extract the THC from the butter or oil.
Choosing a strength
The strength of your brownies depends wholly on how much marijuana you decide to bake into them.
Although there are plenty of charts and graphs to show you how different amounts should affect you, or that will recommend specific measurements, the best way to know exactly how much marijuana to put into your brownies is to use your personal experience.
Therefore, keep careful notes about how much you have put in each time you bake. Then you will know whether that was a good or bad amount for you after you try eating them.
If you use a vaporizer, the leftovers from it can be used in baking because they still should be mostly potent.
Many marijuana bakers prefer to combine these vaped grounds with fresh grounds, but many others only use vaped grounds.
If you’re mixing both together and baking with it, then you can expect the following to be the basic effect on an “average” person:

With 2.5 grams of vaporized grounds and 0 grams of fresh grounds, you should eat a square of approximately 3 inches by 3 inches.
If you double the amount of vaporized grounds and still don’t add any fresh grounds, it’s better to consume a 3 inch by 1-inch rectangle.
If you add 2.5 grams of vaporized grounds and fresh grounds, go for a 2 inch by 2-inch square.
But if you add 5 grams of vaporized grounds and 2.5 grams of fresh grounds, try instead a 1 inch by 1-inch square. 5 grams of both would be unreasonable.
If you prefer fresh grounds, on the other hand, 2.5 grams of that without any vaporized grounds should be around a 3 by 2-inch rectangle.
While 5 grams of fresh grounds, without any vaporized grounds, should be a 1.5 inch by 1.5-inch square.
If you have 5 grams of fresh grounds and 2.5 grams of vaporized grounds, go for a small 1 inch by 1-inch square instead.
See how you feel with any of these measurements, and then adjust the size and potency accordingly.
Baking pot brownies with marijuana oil: preparation
Take the amount of oil that is listed in your recipe, and pour it into a saucepan. Then, mix in the ground marijuana.
Instead of using the grinder, some simply chop their marijuana into small pieces. Try to avoid touching the product with your hands.
Turn the stove to medium or medium-high. Get the oil to a slow simmer, and stir. Once the oil has browned a bit (after 10 minutes or so), you’re about halfway there.
Simmer it for up to 25 minutes total, or when the color is a dark brown and the marijuana is soft and wet.
Next, strain the oil using a coffee strainer or other tool so there is no more visible plant matter. You can then use this oil to your brownie mix.
Recipe and instructions:
The ingredients that you will need for this recipe are:
oil (any kind of oil besides olive oil)
5 grams (or the amount you decided on) of weed per serving — either an ounce of dank or mids is best
a grinder
a coffee filter, pasta strainer, or another kind of filter
brownie mix (or your favorite recipe)
a frying pan
a wooden spoon
Prepare the oil as described above, then follow the instructions on the brownie box.

Baking brownies with cannabutter: recipe and instructions
marijuana butter
5 grams (or your chosen amount) of weed per serving
a grinder
brownie mix (or your favorite recipe)
one small pot and one large pot
a wooden spoon
Pour water into the big pot. Add two or three sticks of butter into the small pot, plus the marijuana, and then put that pot into the larger pot.
Then turn on the burner on low heat. The water in the large pot should start to simmer. Keep it on a low simmer for two to three hours, or perhaps even longer.
After this time, filter out the plant matter from the butter with a strainer or filter. This no longer contains THC, as it has been transferred to the butter.
Spread the butter onto a big pan and put the brownie mix on top of it. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 60 minutes.
